The Red Clay Strays Biography
Formed in 2015 in Mobile, Alabama, The Red Clay Strays developed from a club-playing group into a nationally recognized act through a hands-on work ethic and energetic live shows. Led by vocalist Brandon Coleman and guitarist Andrew Bishop, the band blends Southern rock, country, blues, gospel, and classic rock, with songs often exploring faith, struggle, redemption, and perseverance.
Their 2022 album Moment of Truth helped expand their audience and received strong attention across country and Americana circles. Standout tracks include “Wondering Why,” “Cry,” “Before the Sun Goes Down,” and “Wash It All Away.” The band's live performances are especially noted for their raw energy and Coleman's powerful voice; “Made by God,” featuring Lainey Wilson, is another key song in their catalog.
The group has earned CMA and ACM award nominations and received coverage from outlets including CMT and Rolling Stone Country. The September 2026 date is listed with Dylan Gossett and Sweet Talk. No earlier Pechanga Arena appearances are confirmed in the supplied event information, so this listing does not assume a prior San Diego venue history.
